I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
